Protect your ceramic creations with Clay Coat - a quartz ceramic sealant that makes unglazed areas completely waterproof and stain resistant. With its non-toxic, all-natural formula, it creates an invisible layer of protection that is microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe.
Directions for use:
1: Prep Surface. Begin with bisque or fully-fired ware. Ensure that the surface is completely dry and free from dust and grease. Surface must be intact (not chipping or flaking).
2: Shake bottle before use.
3: Apply. While wearing gloves, spray/dip/brush one even layer on to surface until it no longer readily absorbs the sealant. If sealant gets on a glazed area, wipe off with paper towel. Apply only one coat.
4: Let cure. Allow 24 hours before handling.
Use within one year of purchase and store in a cool, dark place.

I used to pay a lot to have a quartz sealant shipped from Australia. As far as I can tell this is the same exact thing but much less expensive. Very pleased and will continue to purchase from this shop moving forward.
I had some vases that were crazed on the inside and leaked when there was water in them. I poured claycoat on the inside of them, let it sit for 15 minutes, poured it out. And the problem is fixed. They no longer leak. A little bit goes a really long way.
